Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
We are taking part in the Paris to Geneva cycle ride on 19th June 2011. Linking the two cities, this cycle ride includes the climb Col De Faucille which is frequently used in the Tour de France. We will be cycling 324 miles/518 Km in 4 days..... a pretty tough challenge ahead!
Not only is this a personal challenge for all 3 of us but we are also cycling for a very worthwhile charity - The Moorfields Eye Hospital Development Fund and would really appreciate your help.
Archie Powell, pictured left is a beautiful, happy and healthy little 2 year old but was unfortunately born with a cataract in his left eye. This means that without the treatment and fantastic support from doctors and surgeons at Moorfields Childrens Eye Hospital he wouldn't have had any chance of having vision in his left eye. This charity focuses on providing the most up-to-date specialist medical equipment to allow Moorfields to continue to improve the quality of care for patients and ensure the hospital remains the international centre of excellence so we remain optimistic that Archie will grow up with the precious gift of sight in both eyes that most of us take for granted.
