We are the Thurston family plus a fantastic group of wonderful friends, who have decided, for the 4th year running, to get up at 3am on the 3rd June 2018, children and adults alike, and walk 20km through beautiful South West London. We are doing this in memory of our beautiful Anders, who we lost 7 years ago, we miss every day and we always will.

During this difficult time, and ever since, the support we have received from Shooting Star Chase has been an unquantifiable lifeline for us. This walk, and all the money that we hope to raise in doing it, is also our thank you to them.

What makes the walk (an enormous 20km for our little people, some of whom are as young as 11) particularly special is that many of Anders's friends will be taking part. It's the fourth amazing year in a row that we will embark on this journey together, and the 5th for Anders's twin brother Stefan. For 20km we will talk, laugh, cry, play word games, chat about sport and video games and everything else under the dawn sun, and most of all we will think of Anders, who will be beside us all the way.
