It's that time of year again when one of the Watters clan decide to take to the streets and run the Great North Run!! This year the running shoes have been handed to Alan who is running with his good mate Alan Gibson. This run as many people know is a huge challenge not only for beginner runners but also for experience runners too. Its a 13.1 mile course over many hills from Newcastle to South Sheilds. Alan G is new to all this and has been training extremely hard through the winter months and now into summer. It all started on a drunk night in January when Alan W and Lisa insisted at a party that "Oh, anyone can run the Great North Run!!!". Alan G agreed (after many glasses of Sues Sloe Gin!!!) and signed up instantly! He may not thank either of us at the end of this gruelling race!!!! This year the guys are running for a fantastic charity Scope. This is the UKs leading charity for supporting adults and children with cerebral palsy. Any help and donations would be greatly recieved for this great cause. The boys need all the support they can to finish the GNR in two weeks.. Please dig deep and thanks for all your support.
