Story
We're racing across Sri Lanka in a locally owned tuk-tuk on the Rickshaw Run! And that means it's time to do some fundraising for this amazing charity.
Cool Earth is a charity that works with people living in indigenous villages to stop rainforest destruction. They partner with indigenous leaders and in-country NGOs to get your cash donations to the people best placed to spend it.
Their mission is to end the cycle of deforestation that entrenches villages into further poverty by developing local livelihoods and creating strong, self-determining communities.
Our Rickshaw Run team name "Tukk fyrir mig" is a play on words with tuk-tuk and the Icelandic word for thanks very much. Is it confusing? Maybe! Are we excited to race across Sri Lanka *and* help Cool Earth? Yes!!
