Story
We're taking part in the Jailbreak 2018 challenge to raise money for the charity Mind, UK. The aim of the challenge is to travel as far away from our university (The University of the West of England, Bristol) as possible in 36 hours with £0. This means we rely entirely on donations from the public and hitchhiking over the 36 hours (3rd - 4th of March, 2018). We're aiming to raise a total of £600 for the charity Mind, a leading charity in raising awareness for mental health issues such as Depression, Anxiety OCD and more. All money raised on this Just Giving page will go directly to Mind, UK.
Throughout the 36 hours we'll be collecting donations, these donations, along with kind gestures from the public will fund our travel, accommodation and food. You can track our team, #TeamToast on the live tracker which you can find on our Facebook pages from 10 AM, on the 3rd of March, when the event begins.
Mind, UK: Every year, one in four of us will experience a mental health problem. But hundreds of thousands of people are still struggling. We believe no-one should have to face a mental health problem alone. We'll listen, give support and advice, and fight your corner.
Last year, one team from UWE managed to get as far as Gran Canaria, Spain and we hope to get even further! Please donate whatever you can to a great cause. Additionally, if you want to fund us during these 36 hours, please message us directly.
Who know's where we'll end up?!
Thank you!
Hollie, Jordan and Sam.
