Story
Some of you knew him as Dave, David, friend, husband, stepfather or brother - we knew him as Pops
It is the little things that stood out to us the most, the crosswords in the morning when we came to stay, building train tracks and playing straws and connectors for hours and getting lost with Katy at Killerton
Pops always showed up, for anyone. If there was an ever an after-school event that our parents couldn't be at then you bet he would be there, cheering us on from the side-lines. He ran and he laughed his way through Pecorama with us, he made snow angels when we had a day off school due to the weather, and in the quieter moments Pops would be there to sit on Budleigh Beach and eat ice cream alongside us.
In April of 2022 our worlds shattered when Pops passed away after his fight with a short illness. During his 6 months of diagnosis he was supported by the most incredible team of heroes from Hospiscare. They were there for Pops, they were there for our family and they continue to be there for so many people across Devon. We are so grateful for the love that they showed us and would love to raise some money so they can continue with their vital work
So on the 23rd of April we are running the Maer 10k/half marathon with LMEvents - Hannah and Sarah are going to be entering the 10k, whilst Katy, Ju and Carole will be tackling the half marathon!
We would love it if you would consider supporting us by donating to our fundraiser to benefit a charity that loved Pops and loved our family when we needed it most
