Story

Hello Everyone!

Last year the MoreySmith team chose to support charities that were
directly involved in our friend and colleague Rholdah's  cancer treatment, i.e. the Maggie’s Centre and the Blind Veterans).

This year however we wanted a broader focus to reflect the impact of our environment on our health, our wellbeing, and our work, and this led us to supporting the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, a charity which is committed to supporting resilient natural environments where wildlife and people can thrive together.

The Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust is a  conservation organisation with a mission to save species from extinction. It was founded by the author and naturalist Gerald Durrell in 1963, and as well as running a zoo and an endangered species breeding program in Jersey the trust also supports wildlife conservation around the world through a
series of initiatives including rewilding, education and training local
conservationists and a carbon offsetting program.

As a team we have committed to completing the virtual 13km Durrell Challenge  and to date Team MoreySmith have completed more than 200Km in our collective Virtual Challenge training sessions, this includes calf muscle injuries, sprained tendons and a repeated broken wrist, but as the song goes "Nothing's Going to Stop Us Now"

On the weekend of 25 to 28 September we will be doing the 13Km Virtual Durrell Challenge in various guises, along side the many other participants in Jersey and other cities world wide.

Rholdah Cameron Hayes, Robert Percy and Funmbi Adeagbo and Kizzy Woods will 13Km run around Ludlow!

Ahmed & Rholdah 13 Km Kayaking challenge along London’s Canals

Etienne Sharp 13Km Bike Challenge around London

Dani Salamon cycle to Brighton and back to London

Our very own "Harlequin" Tracy will be roller skating 13Km around Watford.
