Team: Too Lit to Quit
Story
This year the whole family has signed up to raising money for Schoolreaders by running/ walking/scooting/cycling 150 miles.
Erin (4) will be covering 15miles
Lucy (7) will be doing 30miles
The remaining miles will be done between Sarah and Nick.
Did you know that before Covid-19, 1 in 4 children left primary school unable to read well? If children can't read well when they leave primary school, they will struggle with their secondary education, finding a job, and helping their own children learn to read. The funds we raise will enable Schoolreaders to recruit and place volunteers in a local primary school at no cost to the school, so every child has the opportunity to catch up with vital reading skills. Every £30 will provide individual reading support for one child with a Schoolreaders volunteer each week for a whole year.
