I never thought my family would be affected by muscular dystrophy. My father was diagnosed with Becker Muscular Dystrophy in 2012 after many years of symptoms he never had an explanation for. Since this is a genetic condition, I suspected that my son (who was two at the time) was also affected. We finally moved forward with genetic testing in 2016 and confirmed those suspicions. Shortly after diagnosis, we relocated to the UK. Muscular Dystrophy UK has been a great resource for us since we've been here, and we'd love to be able to raise some money for this wonderful organization.
