Story
Our amazing Dad and Grandpa, Roy Searcy sadly lost his fight with covid pneumonitis on February 2nd 2021. The Nottingham City Hospital took fantastic care of him during the 22 days that he battled pneumonia.
My Mum and I, were so grateful to be allowed to spend the last few days by Dad's side, when the nurses also took amazing care of myself and my Mum, offering us great support. It was reassuring to hear stories from the nurses of my Dad during his final weeks, and it was clear they had looked after him so well and given him great comfort, whilst we were unable to be by his side throughout these times.
Team Dickie are running the Robin Hood Marathon in my Dad's memory, and I know he will be cheering me on from his usual spot in previous years. While Matt, Layla, Aidan and Brandon run the mini marathon from the embankment.
Nottingham Hospitals Charity enhances patient care at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trusts Queens Medical Centre & City Hospital. Donations help provide added extras such as improved facilities, equipment, research & staff development.
Thank You for your support.
