Shirley and Simon are doing the "Czeck Wrecks" rally in memory of Eric Hill, Shirley's step Dad. He had a long struggle with Leukaemia for many years, and since Simon's Dad, Tom Nicholls also had polycythemia we decided that Leukaemia Reasearch would be a fantastic way of remembering them both.

When Eric died, his pride and joy - his old Skoda Favorit - had sat all forlorn in the garage for over a year, and most people said "it's worthless scrap it". It is such a sturdy little trooper, that had been through so much, having been swamped to the door handles in the Gloucestershire floods yet -just like Eric- it soldiered on. Just like Eric, it's a sturdy little chap with a big heart, so we've christened it "Eric"

Well what more fitting way to celebrate its triumph over adversity than to take it on the Czech Wrecks rally! We will be taking Eric on the rally from Calais to Prague, via the alps (and hopefully back again), doing various challenges on the way! (Find out more here http://www.czechwrecks.com/)
