Story
Please take a look at my just giving page my gorgeous little boy has Diabetes! We pray for a cure one day! Please make a donation and help make this happen. xxx
Noah was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in January 2012 when he was three. This Diagnosis came as a massive shock as we have no family history of Diabetes and no idea of what a life changing disease it is. He now has four daily injections, numerous blood tests as well as a strict balanced diet with his carbohydrate intake being counted. It's been a tough journey so far but I couldn't be a more proud of him he is my little hero and is so brave every day.
You cannot prevent Type 1 Diabetes by adopting a healthy diet, exercising regularly, or living a healthy lifestyle. There is currently no known cure for this horrible disease and at the moment Noah has a lifetime of insulin dependency and blood tests ahead of him.
We have already had problems in trying to get what we and the doctors/nurses and consultants think is best treatment for Noah due to funding issues. We will always strive for the best available treatments for Noah’s health and we will fundraise as much as we possibly can for the JDRF charity - the leading type 1 diabetes charity for children.
All our fundraising efforts will help the JDRF team get a step closer to finding the cure which may come in time to help Noah and other young children to lead a healthy life, free from Diabetes.
Our fundraising event is the 'Walk to Cure Diabetes' event on Sunday 27th October in Bute Park Cardiff where Noah, alongside his family and friends, will walk 3km to raise awareness of Diabetes.
We'd love you to join us in our fundraising activities.
Thanks so so much from Team Ellinor xxxx
