This year is the Child Growth Foundation's 40th anniversay and we have a number of events planned but this is Team Elena's first official one. 

To give you a bit of background - Our daughter, Elena is 3 1/2 years old. She was diagnosed with Russell Silver Syndrome, a rare genetic growth condition shortly after her birth. She is an awesome young lady but life isn't without it's challenges for her - she is shorter and lighter than her peers; has little interest in eating so is partially tube fed; has suffered with hypoglaecemia and has delayed gross motor development (not yet standing).

It's been a bit of a roller coaster for us particularly in late 2015 when we spent several weeks in Alderhey due to Elena being critically unwell.  With the support, knowledge and links we have made to other families via CGF we have made it through these difficult and challenging times. 

We want to give something back to the CGF in their 40th year in order to help them continue their great work. As a small charity it's important to help, not just to raise funds but also awareness - so as well as donate a few pennies (if you can) - could you share their faceboook page?
