We did it! Click on the gallery above to see some pics of a gruelling but gratifying ordeal.

Rather foolishly, perhaps, we have decided to enter a team in this year's Trailwalker challenge. Turns out walking 100km up and down the South Downs in one go will not be as easy as it sounded. We have however managed to survive a few (much shorter) training walks, with the help of many blister plasters and much water. But we are determined to see this through and will be aiming to do the whole walk in 24 hours.
We are aiming to raise at least £2000. In a world of plenty, it is a tragedy that there are more people in need of humanitarian assistance that at any time since the Second World War. Your donations will help Oxfam offer support and resources to enable people to survive today and thrive in the future, and challenge the underlying causes of the injustices they face.
We are grateful to our fabulous support team (Clare, Claire, Mary-Claire & Alan) who have agreed to meet us at check points, feed us, motivate us and even walk bits with us.
P.S. Our team is named in honour of a friend who, despite his short legs, could walk very long distances ;-)
