Story
As a team we were planning to run in the Edinburgh Marathon Festival but, like everything else in the world, it’s understandably been postponed.
We’re still determined to raise money for those who need it and have decided to set ourselves a new challenge - A marathon a day for as long as we stay.
As long as we’re asked to stay at home, as a team we’ll collectively complete a marathon distance everyday. Walk, run, cycle, row, out in the hills or laps of the garden or kitchen - miles will be added up to ensure we hit 26.2 miles every single day.
We will stick to government advice and while its still safe to get out and exercise we’ll run, walk and cycle. If that changes we’ll switch to exercise bikes, rowing machines, lengths of the bath if that's what it takes to get it done!
In this remote working world we’re excited to do something positive as a team to keep us pulling together, focussed and healthy.
If you’d like to support our challenge and these two great charities then please visit our JustGiving page.
We have committed to raise funds for Nansato Nursery Trust which runs 4 nursery schools in Mulanje, Southern Malawi. We’re still determined to raise money for this charity but also feel we’d like to support some amazing charities that are doing great work in supporting people during the Coronavirus pandemic. We have chosen to also support Age Scotland who support older people in our community.
