Story
As many of you know, my brother was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) just under two years ago, with the help of St. George's Hospital In London, some excellent advancements in Leukaemia Lymphoma Research, and a little help from me, my brother managed to kick cancers ass as we like to put it! However, the sneaky bugger decided to come back for some more - well this time is no different... Dave will beat it! However he can't do it without the excellent research and developments from the good people at Leukaemia & Lymphoma research. With the help from a newly developed drug (which i wont even pretend i know the name or what it does!) specific to ALL, Dave has a much better chance of beating this thing for good this time!
The work they do is priceless, and for us and many others it quite simply saves lives - tis what its all about right?! So... I may have asked you to sponsor me before, and for the same charity, but this time I'm stepping it up a gear and going for a half marathon in May and the full marathon in October! Anything you can donate to help will make a difference, so please take 5 minutes out of your day and support us!
I shall also be dragging the lovely Mr Cooper and the amazing Rosco round kicking and screaming (for the half marathon - i'm yet to convince him on the full thing!) - so for the fellow nucleargraduates out there you have triple the reason to support - if anything its got to be amusing to see how we cope with training instead of drinking every weekend right?!
Seriously though, this is an amazing cause and means so much to me, my brother and so many others! Thank you and wish me luck! :)
P.s. Since I'm clearly the most technologically challenged person we all know... I haven't figured out how to make the event for both the half marathon and full marathon so its just showing up as the half (for now!) but I shall be running both! :/ God help me!
