We're running the Edinburgh Marathon Relay on Sunday 28 May for Cyrenians to tackle the causes and consequences of homelessness in our community.
Cyrenians directly supports those experiencing street homelessness, and works to prevent homelessness by alleviating poverty, tackling food insecurity, and supporting families and young people. We meet people where they are and build relationships which help them to flourish.
With 24% of Scots struggling to pay for household bills, too many people are being stretched to breaking point, and homelessness in Scotland is at a record-breaking high. We’re working to help people who have been pushed into homelessness, and to keep thousands more from reaching crisis.
- £5 could provide a household with a recipe and ingredients so they can cook healthy meals together
- £10 could pay for an emergency food parcel to be delivered to someone in temporary accommodation
- £25 could provide someone with a coffee and an hour’s support with a member of our outreach team
- £50 could provide a vital mediation session for a family struggling with conflict, helping them to mend their relationship
- £100 could transform a house into a home, equipping it with essential items like mattresses and curtains.
