This year, the team at Cosy Club Durham are taking on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge on Tuesday 10^th March 2020, raising funds for St Cuthbert’s Hospice. The challenge involves climbing Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough peaks in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, completing the 24 miles of walking and 1500m of ascent within 12 hours.

From 1^st February until 10^th March, for every sale of coffee at Cosy Club Durham, ten pence (10p) will be donated to St. Cuthbert’s Hospice. With your help, our first aim is to help raise £650 to Pay For A Day to run the Day Hospice.

Each year, St. Cuthbert’s Hospice has the momentous task of raising over £2 million to ensure they can continue to provide their many services free of charge. The Hospice provides care and support to people in County Durham with life-limiting illnesses, people approaching the end of life and people that are bereaved. The dementia team at St. Cuthbert’s promote positive approaches to living well with dementia and enhance carers’ ability to adjust and cope with these changes. Dedicated staff and volunteers laugh with, listen to, comfort, care for and help make special memories for over 500 individuals and families every year.  It costs £650 to provide a whole day of care for all guests in the Living Well Centre at St. Cuthbert’s Hospice, which is the target amount we would like to raise.
