In 2017 Les Cooke (Cookie) a devoted family man and director of The Rosebery Group, was diagnosed with lung cancer. A strong battle followed but sadly Les passed away 2018.  Les was a truly great man who touched so many lives with his kindness and humor, he had a very caring and selfless nature. Family were paramount to him.

Tony Stewart, another truly great man who was part of the Rosebery family, sadly passed in 2007 at the young age of 42 due to Lung Cancer, leaving a loving wife and young family behind who he loved and cared for dearly.

We also would like to walk for family, friends and colleagues who have lost loved ones to this terrible disease.

Team Cookie is family, friends and work colleagues of both of these amazing men and we would like to raise money for this outstanding charity to support future families during these difficult times. 

Lung cancer is one of the most common and serious types of cancer. Around 47,000 people are diagnosed with the condition every year in the UK

Lung cancer does not usually cause noticeable symptoms until its spread though the lungs or into other parts of the body. This means the outlook for the condition is not as good as many other types of cancer. Early diagnosis can make a big difference.

Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation is the only UK lung cancer charity dedicated to help everyone effected by the disease.
