The Candlelighters Staff are taking part in a number of different challenges to keep our candle burning by raising money as part of the #TwoPointSixChallenge!
What Challenges are we tackling?
- Our wonderful staff members Amy H, Tom, Natalie, Emma, Leanne & Amy L will be taking on the full 26 (.2) miles of the London Marathon, in relay on Sunday 26th April.
- Corinne and Family (Chris, Emily & Jamie) will be taking on a challenge each including: 26 cartwheels in a row, 26 goals in 2.6 minutes, baking 26 buns with ‘Candlelighters 2.6 challenge 2020’ across them and 26 keepie uppies using a golf club and golf ball!!!
- Gina will be running the full 26 (.2) miles of the London Marathon over a Week starting this Sunday!
- Helen and her husband Glen will be taking 26 shots each at a basketball hoop and seeing who scores the most points! Pride is at stake!
- Our CEO Emily will be doing a Horse Cross Country Course ON FOOT! Jumping, climbing, (possibly neighing!) her way through all 26 jumps!
- Amy H and her mum Jane will be doing 26 yoga poses in succession (virtually!)
- Chris and 26 members of the Salt Family (!) are walking, running or cycling 2.6 miles on Sunday
- Heavy Metal fan Sean is going to test his ears by listening to The Crazy Frog by Axel F, 26 times back to back! That's 1hr 14mins and 58 seconds of pure punishment for him!
- Lucy and Family are taking on numerous challenges including: Elvis the dog jumping a course of jumps that are 26cm high (which is very high for a mini) Ben is going to jump 260 times on his pogo stick. As a family they will attempt to do 26 keepy uppies. Lucy will try and put 26 tops on in 2.6 minutes as well as running 2.6 miles a day for 10 days.
- Caroline and Family will be doing a family board game marathon, playing 26 games over the day! It could get competitive!
- Helena will be Walking 2.6km (that's 3,412 steps!) around her flat in fancy dress in as many PINK things as she can find!!!
- Lawrence and his daughter Chloe will be taking on 2.6 hours of Joe Wicks P.E in one day!
- Roz will be walking 2.6 miles each day for a full week!
