In memory of Annabelle And Evelyn Whyley

Story

2021 provided me, Lauren, Albert, our family and friends with the toughest time of our lives. After a rollercoaster twin pregnancy, Evelyn and Annabelle were born on the 15th September. Sadly, they were both too poorly to stay with us and passed away in the days that followed. We spent so little time with them, but they were brave little souls and beautiful little girls who are now angels in all of our lives.

If you'd like to read a more detailed account of our story, you read the following blog that was written for the hospital to raise awareness of our fund raising efforts:

Our family and friends have decided to come together in a year long series of fundraising events to raise money for the Fetal Care and Neo-natal Units at Nottingham University Hospitals Trust. These two departments supported us tremendously through this extremely difficult time. We want to show our appreciation for the incredible work that they do providing care and supporting other families.

Mark and Abi successfully completed the Manchester Marathon on Sunday 3rd April. This was Marks first marathon. Training for this was very wet, windy, snowy and then randomly sunny - just like the actual day but they are currently putting their feet up ahead of their next adventure... (below)

Nicole Hodgkinson ran her first half marathon in Derby 19th June. Training was interrupted with illness but she did a fantastic job and ran the whole thing. Her smile in the photos tells it all. What an achievement.. Well done Nicole!!

On Saturday 9th July, we will be walking 25 km around Lady Bower and Derwent Reservoir. This is open to anyone that wants to join in and raise money with us.

Rob Hodkinson has signed up to run the Rutland Marathon on the 25th September - like Mark - this will be his first (of many I'm sure) marathon.

More updates to come..

Thank you!!!
