Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

We, The Blade Runners, are doing the Belfast Marathon Relay in aid of Alzheimer's Society this year. For anyone that has a relative or friend with this disease, you will understand the true effects of this disease. It can be very difficult for family members and friends to cope with their family member/friend who has Alzheimer's (or Dementia). Both diseases are untreatable at present and it is a horrible way to spend the remaining years of your life - not knowing who you are or who anyone else is, not knowing what you did yesterday, last week, or last month, and even not knowing where you are - all this can be very frightening for Alzheimer's patients.

I would like to ask, on behalf of the team, if you could please sponsor us for this event?
It will go a long way to improving the lives of Alzheimers patients!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Alzheimer's Society gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor us now!

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
