Story

Hi all,

This year me and my brother Charlie will be running the TCS London Marathon 2024. After running it last year for my friend Lottie and raising £10,000 for Teenage Cancer Trust, many of you may be wondering why I am doing it again.

Both my brother and I have always wanted to do something together in memory of our Grandma. June had a long battle with Alzheimer’s and sadly passed away in 2014 on Charlie’s 16th Birthday.

The current rate suggests that 1 in 14 people in the UK over 65 will have Dementia which is hugely alarming. With recent discoveries of groundbreaking drugs, it is an amazing time to support a charity that is funding vital research projects against this disease.

Charlie was fortunate enough to get a ballot place this year, so the JustGiving page is for both of us! The link to the charity is below. Please do take a few minutes to go on the website and have a read about the amazing work they do.
