Story
On Sunday 2nd October 2022, I'll be taking on the challenge of running/walking and quite possibly crawling the London Marathon for the Alzheimer's Society.
Most people know somebody with Dementia and I'm no different. My Grandad, (who would have been 100 this year) a proud Welsh, rugby loving man was completely ravaged by this cruel disease. He passed away a long time ago now, but the challenges both he and my family faced at that time have always stayed with me. His sister, my Aunty June also suffered with the same challenging end to her life and that's why I'm so keen to help the Alzheimer's Society in their mission to find a cure for this awful illness.
Every three minutes, someone develops dementia. We can beat it, but we cant do it alone. Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading dementia charity. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted in their community. Every penny you donate is making sure we can be there for people affected by dementia.
Thank you so much in advance for donating whatever you can, it really will make a massive difference.
