Tommy's are the largest charity in the UK carrying out research into the causes of miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth. With our support they are able to carry out more than £2million worth of ground-breaking research every year.

They are here to support people through their whole pregnancy journey - from planning for pregnancy through to after the birth with free digital tools, calculators and resources to help people have a happy and healthy pregnancy.

They are here for anyone who has experienced the loss of a baby, whether through miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal death, or termination for medical reasons. 

Tommy’s is dedicated to saving baby’s lives by tackling the things that go wrong in pregnancy and cause a baby to die. The biggest cause of the loss of a baby is miscarriage, potentially affecting as many as one in two women, and it is also the least understood.

This year, Tommy’s is opening Europe’s largest clinical research
centre dedicated to the prevention of miscarriage. They aim to reduce the number of miscarriages by 100,000 a year in just five year’s time. This centre will be spread across four sites in London and the Midlands.

Tommy's researchers will seek to understand why miscarriage
happens, if it is likely to happen again, how to prevent it, and how to provide appropriate aftercare. What's more, they will provide clinical care to at least 24,000 couples a year, turning what might for them have seemed like the impossible dream of having a baby into a reality.
