Story

On the 1st October 2022, four of TBAT Innovation Ltd's team members, Chris, Dave, Richard and Ryan will be taking on the Iron to Iron cycling Challenge.

They'll be setting off from Meldon Viaduct in Devon to Bennerley Viaduct in Derbyshire, to raise money for the Brittle Bone Society (BBS) which helps families affected by Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), a rare condition also known as brittle bone disease.

The Iron to Iron ride is a gruelling 300-mile route with over 16,000ft of uphill climbing. It starts at a wrought iron viaduct (Meldon Viaduct) passes through a number of iconic engineering marvels and ends at another wrought iron viaduct (Bennerley Viaduct).

The aim is to complete the ride in three days, reaching Derbyshire on 3rd October 2022. With varying levels of road cycling experience within the team, the task of 300 miles in 3 days could be more daunting than it seems!

Collectively, the team has chosen to raise money for the Brittle Bone Society. This charity has been chosen as one of the team at TBAT has a child with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, making the cause close to their hearts.

The team is hoping to raise as much money as they can for BBS, with the aim to raise at least £2000.

TBAT Innovation Ltd is supporting the cycling challenge by sponsoring the support transportation for the team throughout the ride, that colleague Ian Davie will be driving, and cheering the team along at every stage.
