Nanga Parbat for Gaza

Pakistan Skardu Challenge · 18 September 2024 to 29 September 2024 ·
I am embarking on one of the most challenging journeys of my life: climbing Nanga Parbat, the ninth highest mountain in the world, located in Pakistan's western Himalayas.
Its formidable peak, known as the "Killer Mountain," stands at 8,126 meters (26,660 feet) and is infamous for its extreme conditions, treacherous terrain, and unforgiving weather.
I've signed myself upto this challenge to raise funds for the Islamic Relief Emergency Gaza Appeal. As many of you are aware, the situation in Gaza has reached a critical point.
The ongoing conflict and blockade has led to severe shortages of essential supplies, including food, clean water, and medical care. Hospitals are overwhelmed, and the health system is on the brink of collapse.
- Over 70% of Gaza's population suffers from food insecurity, with many families unsure where their next meal will come from.
- Over 50% of Gaza's children are showing signs of psychological distress, with many experiencing symptoms of trauma and anxiety due to the ongoing conflict.
- The health sector in Gaza is in crisis, with only 20% of essential medicines available, putting countless lives at risk.
By supporting my climb, you are directly contributing to the Emergency Gaza Appeal, helping to provide:
- Emergency medical care and essential medicines to hospitals and clinics that are struggling to cope with the high number of casualties.
- Food parcels and clean water to families in desperate need, ensuring that they have the basic necessities to survive.
- Psychosocial support for children and families who have experienced trauma, helping them to heal and rebuild their lives.
Every donation, no matter how small, makes a significant difference. Together, we can provide much-needed relief to the people of Gaza and support Islamic Relief’s efforts to bring hope and comfort to those suffering.
Join me in this mission. Let’s turn every step I take on Nanga Parbat into a step towards a better future for Gaza. Please consider donating and sharing this page with your network.
