Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

A group of our amazing staff here at Taylors are giving up their own time and sanity to participate in this years Beast Race on Saturday 24th September all in aid of our chosen charity Friends of Anchor, which we have supported as a company since 2018.

They will run, jump, crawl through mud, make a splash as the hit the cold loch waters and might even cry as they make their way around the 10K route including 29 obstacles.

We would be extremely grateful of any donations to aid Friends of Anchor, a great charity who are working hard to make life better for those facing cancer right here on our doorstep.

A little bit about the ANCHOR Unit

The Anchor Unit is a collective of specialised wards and clinics within Aberdeen Royal Infirmary - the central hub of cancer and haematology care for the North-east of Scotland.

Our person-centred wellbeing services are freely available for every patient, with programmes also available for the staff caring for them. We invest in medical equipment and pioneering research to push the boundaries in how we diagnose, treat and care for people, while our pledge to promote clinical excellence includes funded development programmes for NHS clinical staff to enhance knowledge and expertise.

Our founding aim was, and remains to this day, to provide the best possible treatment, care and support to patients.

Uniquely, every penny of every pound donated to Friends of ANCHOR goes to the cause because our operating costs are fully covered by Aberdeen company Balmoral Group - as they have been since the charity was founded.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
