Story
I suppose if you've ventured onto this page, you've probably read my story. It's tricky for me to put into words how surprised I am. Genuinely I'm not too fond of attention; I'm so private most of the time, friends & family struggle to find me on Facebook. But every so often, I try and do something worthwhile, even if that means making myself vulnerable.
My deliberate goal was to drum up some awareness for a charity near and dear to me and perhaps raise a few extra pennies for them along the way. It isn't easy, presenting yourself to be judged, but progress doesn't occur by standing still. I'm a guy who did something a bit bonkers and offbeat - it's the scientists and donations that make the real difference.
Thank you for all those extra donations which have come in. I've given my word that if we can reach the target of £5,000, I promised to have the left side tattooed in an all or nothing commitment with the same size and design. But even if this page doesn't raise any more money, I would call it an incredible success. Well done, everybody.

Selfishly I have never attempted to raise any money for charity before. Like millions (possibly billions) of people, I have experienced several times the destruction that cancer causes, and yet I've still done nothing about it.
So now I'm prepared to challenge myself and change that by having a 3-inch bra tattooed on one side of my chest in support for beating breast cancer. For every £100 donated, I will add on another half an inch to the overall size of the tattoo. The design will have the pink breast cancer ribbon incorporated into it. 😊
I know just how much we appreciate the women in our lives (I have two exceptional ladies in mine) and hopefully, this will be another step closer to condemning breast cancer to the history books.
In loving memory of my mother.
