Dear everyone,

Thank you for taking the time for visiting my JustGiving page.

I have decided to run (or perhaps crawl on all fours!) both the Moscow Half and Full Marathons to raise money for CLIC Sargent, in memory of a much loved and much missed friend, Sophie Raben. CLIC Sargent is one of the UK's leading cancer charities, specialising in supporting children and young people who have been diagnosed with cancer and their families. CLIC were amazing in helping Sophie cope with her illness and have been immensely supportive to her family since she passed away.

Sophie was the brightest, bubbliest and most beautiful girl I have ever had the privilege of being friends with, and, although moving to Moscow meant that I got to see her very rarely, she was never far from my thoughts. Almost a year and a half on, she is anything but forgotten and I want to run these races, not just to raise money and awareness for what is undoubtedly a fantastic cause, but also to show Sophie, wherever she is now, how loved she is. (She also had the most incredible long legs which I could really do with in running this!)
