TashRunner2020 Crazy moustaches and 30 Half Marathons in 30 days!

Tash Runner 2020 · 1 November 2020
TashRunner2020 is an idea that has been thought up my close friend Devilliers Van Den Brink. Devilliers decided that instead of just doing a standard Movember fundraiser that he will up the ante by 1000%. Along side growing a mighty fine moustache that he would run a half marathon every day in November (Crazy). We have set a target of £2110 to represent the crazy distance being run by Devilliers but hope to smash through this!
To introduce myself I’m Rich, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Advance Bowel Cancer has back in December 2019 this was to Stage 4 in March 2020 due to a spread to my peritoneum. At present I won’t be joining on half marathon each day but I will be growing the most horrific moustache I can through the month of November. I will also attempt to do a 21.1 minutes walking each day as my health lets me.
Bowel cancer is curable if caught early with 90% chance of survival caught at a localised stage. Due to my age it took me over 12 months to get a formal diagnosis even after lots of GP visits, calls and change in GP.
I now dedicate as much time to raising awareness on Bowel Cancer with a focus on under 35s. For my full journey and loads of information please feel free to follow me on Instagram @cullyscancerjourney or on Twitter @cullyscancer.
All of my care has been under The Royal Marsden and have currently been with them over a month. We have decided money raised will go to them on this occasion.
The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. They ensure nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world. From funding state-of-the-art equipment and groundbreaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, they will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
From myself and Devilliers we thank you in advance for you kind donations!
