News update... Due to the extraordinary generousity of the 'Growers' and fantastic sponsors - the 'Tash4Cash' team have decided to raise the fundraising target to £1000 please feel free to donate whatever amount you want... every single pound will be well spent (and greatly appreciated) on helping our wounded service personnel get their lives back together... Thank you!
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor: 'Help for Heroes' will get your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Its amazing just how many people I know who have either sons, daughters, nephews, nieces, brothers sisters, girlfriends or boyfriends currently on active deployment with 'our' armed forces...
I have spoken recently to quite a few and many of them have expressed an interest in being involved either directly or indirectly in a fund raising event for the 'Help for Heroes' Charity...
So - For the the Month of October 2008 an ever increasing team of dedicated Tash 'Growers' will be cultivating a wide range of grizzly, stylish or just outrageous moustaches. I expect you will know who they are from about day two in October, when the fruits of their efforts will begin to appear...
If you want to become either a Tash 'Grower' member of Tash4Cash, or a sponsor of someone involved: please leave a message either Grower or Sponsor... when you donate! (this is so we can follow the Growers progress)
The fact that the Tash's will be blossoming throughout the month for all to see, will hopefully raise not only some much needed cash for a very worthwhile (and personal to many) cause... It will also raise awareness of the 'Help for Heroes' charity and and the plight of many of our returning wounded service personnel...
Depending on the amount of growers/sponsors its has been suggested that an end of month Tash4Cash get together celebration be arranged - this will enable growers and sponsors alike to get together to compare, and possibly even give some recognition for 'Top Tash' Longest Tash and 'Most unusual Tash...
