Story
We wanted to start getting fit and Kathy O'Neill decided it would be good to enter us into a half marathon without us knowing as we kept threatening to do one and never plucked up the courage to enter. So we - Hannah Pool, Natasha Phillips and Kathy O'Neill (and Jeni Packham - who had to withdrawn due to injury) have decided that along with having the achievement of finishing 13.1 miles we would like to raise some money to say thank you to the Penguin Ward at Medway Hospital. Our sons were born with conditions that meant at the early part of their lives we spent a lot of time in the Penguin ward. We appreciate that funds are scarce and its not always easy for wards especially children's wards to make the stay as comfortable and welcoming as possible. We want to raise £600 between us - that's £200 each - this will help the ward to purchase of the much needed equipment to help nurse the sick children who through no fault of their own find themselves in a place which sometimes appears scary and lonely. Please spare a few quid to help 3 very unfit girlies who have decided to do something so far out of their comfort zone to raise as much needed money for a very good cause.
