Story

Hi everyone, thank you for visiting our JustGiving page. The Tartan Cycle is an event taking place in September 2011, in aid of The Tartan Army Childrens Charity. Calum Slater and Martin Beaton will be travelling from Glasgow to Madrid, covering 1200 miles on bikes.

Why Glasgow to Madrid? Well, Scotland are playing Lithuania in September 2011 (this is football, by the way!). We leave from Hampden Stadium after this match, hopefully not too intoxicated, and head towards Madrid where Scotland play their last qualifying game against Spain, in October.
In between, we'll be staying in tents and sampling the delights the French vineyards have to offer.
This may not give you a good impression of us, serving only to justify a long-standing stereotype associated with Scottish Football fans and alcohol. You'd probably be quite right.

Seriously though, your donation and support for the TACC will go a long way - 100% of every single £1 donated goes to helping children not only in Scotland but across the world. Recently, £60,000 was donated by Carey McEvoy to a couple of charitable groups in South Africa. You can read about the stories on the TACC website, find the link on the left.

Our website will be going live shortly, where you can keep up to date with our cycle and future fundraising events. Also, search for Tartan Cycle on Facebook and on Twitter!

Please give what you can, your help would be most appreciated!
