Story
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving Page. It's been 3 years since I cycled the length of the UK and I thought it was time for a different kind of cycling challenge and again, for a great cause.
In August I will cycle 100 miles (supposedly in less that 7 hours… eek!) for Childnet. Childnet is a fantastic charity, promoting safe internet use to the future of our society. A friend of mine works for Childnet and she and her team spend their days visiting schools all over the UK, educating 3 – 18 year olds; their parents and teachers about how to stay safe online.
They do important work creating informative resources for schools and run 'Safer Internet Day' every year. We all know that technology is a great (and essential) resource, advancing at a rapid rate. Childnet’s main aim is to make sure that the internet remains a great place and most importantly a safe place for children. Childnet also invest their time in policy development and work directly with the government, helping to shape internet safety policies in Parliament today.
So, it's for our tomorrow that I ask you to make a donation to help the children of today navigate the internet safely. I'll also bash out 100 miles for the cause!
