14 intrepid cyclists will be cycling from Whitehaven to Whitley Bay across the Pennines totalling 146 miles in 2 days.

11 of the cyclists from Tarmac East Midlands Contracting will complete the journey in 2 days.

The remaining 3 will be tackling the journey in 1 day.

The route will take us over the Pennines and back down to the sea side at Whitley Bay which will include 12500 feet of climbing.

The cyclists are Mark Goslin, Richard Vine, Niall Barnett, Matt Winnington, Gareth Hopkins, Tim Pigula, Jonathan Falls, Matt Fields, Dean Ziolkowski, Matt Antill, Ian Longden, Liam Plowright ,Steve Hayes and Chris Coen.

They will be ably supported with food and signposts by Jane Preston, Linzi Cripps, Ian Robinson and Jason Falls.

As well as personal satisfaction for completing the trip we will be raising money for the British Heart Foundation and our target is £5000 minimum. Please give generously.
