Story
On November 7th I'll be running 26.2 miles to raise awareness and money for an amazing organisation, the Women's Prison Association. WPA empowers women to redefine their lives in the face of injustice and incarceration.
I'm inspired by the personal stories of the women who have been helped by WPA. I know this marathon won't be easy, but running 26.2 miles is nothing compared to what these women have endured. I'll be thinking of them every step of the way - This marathon is for them!
Please donate if you can - every donation goes towards giving women a second chance and every dollar helps to change lives.
Thanks for your support and generosity everyone!
Tara

WHY I'M RUNNING FOR WPA:
- I run to support WPA because I believe every woman deserves a second chance.
- I run to support WPA because their programs are designed specifically for women and address their histories of trauma, mental illness, parental stress and other risk factors specific to women.
- I run to support WPA because they welcome any woman seeking new possibilities for herself and her family, regardless of her crime.
- I run to support WPA because I believe we can create a society where our reliance on incarceration can be replaced by constructive, community-driven responses.
- I run to support WPA because they empower women to use their collective voice and experience to drive change that positively impacts families, communities, and society.
