Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
So I went North and completed The Great North Run 2011 in a time of 1:28:28, not quite a personal best but not far from it. The day was fantastic, with so many people. I just stood at the start line soaking up the atmosphere. I was pretty scared, very nervous but also excited at the same time.
Two weeks prior to the event I suffered a knee injury, I couldn't even run 3-4 miles without having to stop. I literally fell apart, felt totally demotivated because I thought I would be letting everyone down. Lucky for me I had help at hand and I saw a sports physio who put my mind at rest straight away. I religiously carried out the exercises he prescribed and within a week there was a massive improvement. With that in mind I was able to re focus on my goal ahead.
So there you have it.....injury and all I completed the awesome route and would so like to thank everyone who has encouraged me and supported me. I would especially like to thank my trainer who pushed me to limits and beyond. Without his expertise I would have struggled. My dad who supports me and comes to every event that I do and helps me stay relaxed - is my rock. Thank you dad.
So if you still have friends and family that want to donate money to this worthy cause then please ask them too. Every penny helps.
Thank you all again. With you people like yourselves this charity would struggle.
I <3 to run..................
