In 2022, Cure Leukaemia had it's biggest ever team taking on the TCS London Marathon to help raise vital funds for blood cancer patients across the UK.

Story

On Sunday 2nd October 2022 I will be running the London Marathon in aid of Cure Leukaemia!

Cure Leukaemia is an amazing charity, raising funds to find a cure for blood cancer through their Trials Acceleration Programme. With your donations, Cure Leukaemia can fund more nurses, run more clinical trials and save more lives.

In the UK alone, every 14 minutes someone is diagnosed with Blood Cancer. Unfortunately, at the start of 2021, our friend Claire was diagnosed with leukaemia. Claire’s superhuman fighting spirit has been inspirational. One year on, Claire is doing much better due to the fantastic support she has received from Cure Leukaemia and our fantastic NHS. This is why the work Cure Leukaemia does is so crucial.

I started running in 2020, and it’s been great for my physical and mental health. By taking on my biggest challenge yet, I am proud to be using running to help make a difference to those who really need it and playing my small part in helping to find a cure.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my Just Giving Page. Cure Leukaemia, Claire and myself would really appreciate any support you can give in helping to raise as much money as possible for this incredible cause.

Cure Leukaemia fund research nurses at 15 hospitals across the UK. These roles form the Trials Acceleration Programme (TAP) network giving patients, from a catchment area of 30m, access to potentially life-saving treatments through clinical trials, with plans to fund a paediatric network on the way.
