Story
Tara Gregory & Diana Rogers - The Stroll Sisters.
We met about 11 years ago when we teamed up to walk 3.5 miles together in the snow, to get to work. We barely knew each other but hit it off straight away and we've been the best of pals ever since. In June 2022 we are taking on the South Coast Mighty Hike, a 26 mile hike from Brighton Racecourse to Eastbourne across the South Downs Way to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Cancer can affect anyone, at any time in their life. Macmillan offer support to people affected by cancer, their family, friends and colleagues. They provide information and resources, support groups, specialist cancer nurses with experience and qualifications in cancer care and offer training for professionals.
Macmillan is a cause close to our hearts and we have both been grateful to be able to access their resources for support since Diana's husband Andrew was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and also when Tara's friend and colleague Talitha was diagnosed with cancer and subsequently lost her life.
We decided we wanted to help Macmillan to continue supporting people affected by cancer and their families and friends by taking on the tough but beautiful South Coast Mighty Hike 2022.
