Story
Hi! Tara here...
As most of you know I have had a rollercoaster over the last 3 years, dealing with all the crap that cancer brings & doing all I can to stay alive. I have been under the care of the Royal Marsden for this whole time too, and without their treatments, interventions, and support, I really don't think I would be here today. Right now, I'm delighted to report I am in remission! Something I didn't think I would ever be able to say. Mind blowing! I am in great health now too, so I thought it's about time to give back to the Royal Marsden so they can continue to help others.
I have decided to embark on a trek challenge to raise money so that The Royal Marsden can complete the build of The Oak Centre, which is a brand new hospital based in Surrey. Raising money for The Oak Centre is particularly important to me because it will bring together over 400 cancer research staff to one place, allowing collaboration innovation, ground breaking research, and ultimately saving lives. They continue to research treatments options with lesser side effects too. I have been on a clinical medical trial for the past 18 months, so I know first hand how important this is.
Those of you that know me well, will know I'm not that keen on exercise so this really is going to be a huge challenge for me. But I am committing to training and achieving this to raise all the money that I possibly can for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity towards funding The Oak Centre.
Your donation will allow the centre to continue to look for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
I welcome any support that you can give, big or small. It all adds up.
Huge love, Tara (aka The Little Cancer Rebel) xXx
