We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

Thank you for supporting me and my family taking part in the Half Marathon Memory Walk this year to raise much needed funds for Alzheimer's Society.

We will be walking in memory of my late father Peter Cavangh who lived with front lobe dementia for  nearly 13 years. Sadly my dad passed away last year due to an unrelated brain tumour.

We will also be walking in memory of my late Aunt Connie and my late Grandmother Molly who both lived with vascular dementia.

This year my twin boys Alfie and James( 8 ) will be joing their sister Lottie (10)  for the first time on the walk.

All of the money we raise will help support people living with dementia and their families, so your donation will make a huge difference. Just £50 will pay for someone with dementia to go to a Dementia Café session every week for a month, where they can meet others, share experiences and feel less isolated. And the more we raise, the bigger the difference it will make.

The Alzheimers's society provides very practical support to families who are living with dementia, I do not know how our family would have coped without their support.

Thank You!

Tara, Peter, Lottie, James & Alfie XXXX

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
