Story
Yes, that's right. Rowing a marathon. 42,195m.
Over lockdown I genuinely gained a huge appreciation for Mental Health as for the first time in my life I realised I was having some real struggles and it was a mental health issue. Turns out I've probably always had some form of mental health vulnerability but 20-30 years ago awareness was so lacking that you'd have struggles and (including from myself) be told to tough it out or just 'be happier'.
Therefore, I want to support Young Minds as it's a children's mental health charity to aid the awareness and support for those struggling and don't know why.
On Monday 10th October (World Mental Health Day) I am going to go a marathon row as, while it is a fitness challenge, 80% of it is going to be mental. Me, alone, sat in my garage on a rowing machine, pulling about 4-5000 strokes. It's going to be as much a mental battle as a physical one!
Please support me and Young Minds and help me make a difference to children struggling.
