Story
1 in 4 people will experience mental illness at some point in their lives. Mental health has always been an important topic, but the pandemic has heightened the need for mental health to be prioritised in public discourse and for the stigma to be tackled. Many people are dealing with their mental illnesses without proper help and support. Physical injuries are still treated with more sympathy and urgency than mental illness. There is still a lot more work to do, which is why I’m running the London Marathon in October 2022 in support of Rethink Mental Illness.
