Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I lost my Grandad on the 12th of March 2021 at age 91, he lived an incredible, interesting and good long life. Unfortunately in his last few years he suffered from Alzheimer's. He was still able to recall many of his much older memories, particularly the ones from when he was in the army. During approximately the last year, he started to forget some of us but always remembered his beloved wife and my Nan, Barbara, who is still with us.
My Grandad was the no.1 man in my life for so long and taught me so much; how to tend a garden, DIY skills, and to be strong and independent.
I wanted a way to honour him, and a way to raise money to help the research into this cruel disease. I have challenged myself to cycle 1000km from the 1st of April to the 30th of June. Now, a lot of you may know, I already cycle to and from work so I have worked out the length I usually cycle and my distance goal of 1000km is far greater than this.
I know times are hard financially, but even a small donation would be gratefully received!
