Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hi my name is Chris, and i'm running the 2018 London marathon in memory of my late wife Tanya Howe, and the Helen Rollason cancer charity.

In early may last year we received the worst news imaginable,Tanya was diagnosed with Bowel cancer at the age of 40, it was the worst feeling we had ever felt, not knowing what to do or what to expect,Tanya was then put in the care of the Helen Rollason  research centre at Broomfield hospital, where Tanya would spend the next year having her chemotherapy sessions and tests,All the staff, doctors, nurses absolutely everyone there even the other patients made her feel so welcome and normal, the way the staff made you feel to get you through the saddest and most worrying of times is truly amazing and i cant thank Helen Rollason enough on the truly astounding job they do.Sadly in June this year my wife Tanya lost her battle with cancer, she was such a truly inspirational and brave woman.and we shall never forget her especially that smile of hers.So i would like to give something back to such a incredible and valuable charity and raise money to help other people like Tanya who are affected by cancer,to get the much needed help and overwhelming support that Tanya received whilst in the care of the Helen Rollason cancer charity, and again would like to say a big thank you for taking the time to look at my page.
