Alhamdulillah the Forest Gate Masjid was established back in 1992. Since then it has been serving the local ummah with great eagerness and sincerity.

Forest Gate Masjid is different. As a dar-ul-uloom (house of knowledge) it offers

• Aalim and Aalimiyah courses that take up to 7 years to complete for the Bukhari course
• Sanatain classes
• A reception to year 6 primary school
• Hifz classes
• Tajwaeed classes for elderly men and women
• Maktab classes early morning and early evenings and in the weekends
• GCSE in Islamic Studies

Our elders Khan Saab (rah), Salik Chowdhury (rah), Giash Uddin (rah), Muklisur Rahman (rah) and Abdur Rokib with other committee members started what is known today as Forest Gate Masjid and Imam Zakariya Academy. The masjid has been serving the local ummah with five times daily Salaah, Eid Salaah, Jumuah, Taraweeh and Maktab.
