Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In a moment of madness over a couple of glasses of wine, I agreed to climb Kilimanjaro, having done a lot more research I now understand this will be no easy task but will be a huge physical and mental challenge.....and yes I have been training hard!
The climb will take place in February 2010. Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa rising some 3 miles from the plains below and it will take some 8 days to complete!
I am hoping to raise lots of cash for The PSP Association. This charity is one close to my heart as my mother was diagnosed with this dreadfull illness two years ago. PSP is a degenerative neurological condition for which there is no known cause or cure. It involves the loss of neurons in the brain that allow for eye movement, balance, speech and swallowing. It is a progressive condition that ultimately leads to the patient being unable to swallow, speak; have severe tunnel vision and be unable to mobilize themselves.
The PSP Association sponsors research worldwide into the cause, effective treatment and eventual cure for PSP, provides information and support to afflicted families and seeks to engender awareness of this degenerative brain disease across Europe. therefore every penny you donate can and will make a huge difference in funding this research.

I have set my target at £3000 which I am hoping with your help I can achieve, every penny counts, for the cost of a couple of pints or a bottle of wine you will help me hit my target!
Thank you for your support.
Tanja
PS....all monies raised will go to the Charity as I am funding the trip myself
