Dear Friends,

Thank you for stopping by and taking a few of your precious minutes to read through a great cause that would love to have your sponsorship! You might have heard that I moved to London, England in November last year. Since January 2010 I have joined the youth ministry at the Hillsong church central London. We meet with about 250 youth at least twice a week. Spending quality time, playing games, laughing, praying and just hanging out. I am on a team aged 14-17 years of age. Believing we as leaders can take a great influence in their lives, helping them in difficulties, listening, crying and rejoicing together. As you probably know, especially through the teenage years, it can be quite a struggle to find one self in this world. Picking the right friends, making quality decisions and most important of all, to help them live a fulfilling life that God has intended to have for them.

We as a youth ministry want to create this kind or environment to help and support the youth through these couple of years. Every summer Hillsong Church puts on a 4 day summer camp that is ALWAYS life changing for each and every single one that takes part. Throughout the year the youth keep mentioning summer camp and how God had moved them and brought them closer to him. Since we as a team have also experienced the amazing change in the young peoples and our lives, we would like to see every young person able to go to camp that wants to. Unfortunately everything comes with its expenses and since this is usually the only reason to stop a young person from coming, we would like to keep costs as low as possible. This is where YOU can help :) ! Our goal is for each youth leader to raise 300 pounds in order to make camp available for just 49 pounds per person (all inclusive), WOW, eh!!!

To show you how much we mean what we say, we have entered the 10K London Marathon race taking place Mai 31st.

Aaaaand yes, for all of you that know me, will be smiling at this point and wishing they could video tape me …!! I look back to the days arranging brunches and chill out times whenever somebody planed a “fun-run-get-together”. I have seriously started a strict training program a few weeks back and am proud to say that I have been really enjoying a good run.
