Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I will be taking part in a 24 Hour Cycle Challenge in May 2019, to raise money for three fantastic causes supported by Kent Union: Access to Activities, supporting Liberation Groups, and Nightline.
The Access to Activities Fund is designed to support students to overcome barriers preventing them from getting involved in the sports clubs managed by Kent Union. This participation provides our students with extracurricular activities that allow social interaction and increase employment prospects, whilst improving their physical and mental wellness.
The support of Liberation Groups will enable them to continue the great work they do, such as a range of events and activities to mark International Women’s Week, Black History Month, LGBT+ History Month and Disability History Month.
Nightline offers support for students who are struggling with aspects of student life such stress, anxiety and loneliness. It allows them to speak to a fellow student through a confidential, non-judgemental listening service.
The challenge itself aims to get to Dover from the University of Kent’s Paris campus, in the space of 24 hours. This includes cycling 198 miles from the starting point to the port of Calais.
